Two-and-a-half years after selling Bolasie to Everton for £28m, the winger could reportedly return to Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

What on earth is going on at Crystal Palace?

In less than 24 hours, The Eagles have been tipped to re-sign three of their former players as Roy Hodgson scours the market for some much-needed additions.

The Mail claimed that Palace had been offered the chance to bring Yohan Cabaye to Selhurst Park, the Frenchman having been released by Al Nasr earlier in the January transfer window.

The Express and Star, meanwhile, claims that Bakary Sako is on his way back, just a few months after he rejected a contract at Palace and joined West Brom instead.

And The Mirror believes that Yannick Bolasie could return too with Crystal Palace seemingly looking to get the old band back together. The 29-year-old is out of favour at Everton and needs to leave if he wants to play between now and May.

Bolasie enjoyed the best years of his career at Selhurst Park and eventually cost £28 million in 2016 (Sky). But that feels a lot longer than two-and-a-half years ago given that, in that time, he has spent over 12 months out injured and endured a disastrous loan spell at Aston Villa in the Championship.

They do say you should never go back – though it didn’t work out too badly for Wilfried Zaha.
