The 22-year-old impressed after coming on against Tottenham Hotspur.

As last, a sign of life from Wilfried Zaha!

The 22-year-old was superb for Crystal Palace after coming on against Tottenham yesterday and was vital during the Eagles’ second-half winner.

Zaha looked a different player as he came on and ran riot down the left-hand side, absolutely terrorising Spurs right-back Kyle Walker (an experience he may struggle to forget in the coming weeks) and setting Jason Puncheon up for Crystal Palace’s second goal.

What a wonderful sight for Palace fans – and one they were all too delighted about on Twitter after the game.

Alan Pardew’s arrival at Selhurst Park seems to have brought a smile to Zaha’s face and that had a noticeable impact on his game during the Tottenham win.

Can the 22-year-old kick on from here and stake a real claim for a starting berth in south London? If not, this wouldn’t be Zaha’s first ever false dawn.

But there was certainly something different from the young winger against Tottenham, as he showed a fearlessness that has been missing since his first spell at Palace. Granted, the Eagles forward was up against a shaky Spurs back line. You can only beat who’s in front of you, however.

Here, meanwhile, is the best Crystal Palace fan reaction to Zaha’s cameo on Twitter!
