Palace fans were obviously delighted with this latest piece of business, especially with Andros Townsend also arriving at the club and James Tomkins looking like being next.

The Toffees are light in the goalkeeping department, with Tim Howard departing and most fans not 100 per cent convinced by Joel Robles.
Everton had been in the running for Mandanda but have lost out to Palace in the race for his signature, meaning new signing Maarten Stekelenburg might end up a rather uninspiring number one goalie.
