Chambers, who spent the last season on loan at Middlesbrough, is behind Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel and Rob Holding in the pecking order among Arsene Wenger’s centre-backs.
The report claimed that Wenger is planning a significant exodus of players from the squad this summer, and would be willing to cash in on the 22-year-old.
Mamadou Sakho was the first choice target for Palace this summer, but Liverpool’s £30 million valuation on the defender has forced them to look for options elsewhere.
