Crystal Palace signed Andros Townsend from Newcastle United this summer.

Crystal Palace fans have been impressed by Andros Townsend’s first performance, which came against Philadelphia Union last night.
Palace drew 0-0 with the American side, in the first game of their pre-season tour.
Townsend was selected to start in the fixture, and he played for 60 minutes before being subbed off.
The England international’s display caught the eye, with Palace fans enthused by his first showing.
Townsend has joined Palace from Newcastle United in a £13 million deal.

Newcastle had wanted to keep hold of Townsend, but Palace activated his release clause and the winger opted to move on.
The Eagles will be hoping that he can have a similar impact to the one he did at St. James’ Park towards the back end of last campaign.
Townsend scored four times in 13 appearances for Newcastle, but he was unable to save them from relegation.
