Crystal Palace are readying themselves for the departure of Wilfried Zaha. The Ivorian has wanted out of Selhurst Park for a while now and his wish might finally be granted this summer.

Zaha is undoubtedly Palace’s best player. The Eagles would make good money by selling him, but they will have to spend that money wisely, especially on a player who will replace him for next season.

Roy Hodgson’s side earned a significant fee by selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United last year. That money wasn’t used for transfers; something that Palace cannot afford to do if Zaha is sold this summer.

A replacement is an absolute priority and it looks like Palace have a player in mind. Romanian attacker Florinel Coman has reportedly been identified as Zaha’s replacement and the FCSB star will reportedly cost in the region of £12 million. (Digi Sport)

Coman, still only 22, had a sensational season for FCSB last term. The Romanian scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions and it no surprise that bigger clubs are circling around him.

FCSB owner Gigi Becali is well known for being a strong negotiator and he has claimed that he will only sell the young attacker for £13.5 million. (Digi Sport)

Realistically, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Crystal Palace if Zaha is sold this summer. The Eagles could do with a player like Coman and the club’s supporters seem to be positive about their reported interest in him.

Here is how a few of them reacted on Twitter:
