Crystal Palace central defender Scott Dann has given his take on Leeds United on BBC Sport (17:09) after playing against Marcelo Bielsa’s side on Saturday afternoon.

Palace got the better of Leeds 4-1 at Selhurst Park in London in the Premier League.

It was the Whites’ second successive defeat in the league following their loss to Leicester City at Elland Road on Monday evening. Leeds also lost that game 4-1.

Palace defender Dann has given his take on the match, saying that it was tough and that he and his teammates knew that Leeds were not going to give up.

Dann told BBC Sport (17:09): ”It was a tough game. We started well and got ourselves in front. Even at 2-1 they weren’t going to give in and would go to the end. We had to see it out and probably could have scored a few more goals but a good performance.”

Need to do better

While Leeds did look good going on the attack and also had a goal controversially disallowed, the Whites were simply not good defensively.

Conceding four goals in one match is never a good sign, and it must also be noted that Leeds shipped in four goals against Leicester on Monday as well.

It seems that the West Yorkshire club have problems defensively, and perhaps Leeds will become better in that department once Kalvin Phillips is back from injury and takes his place in holding midfield.
