As Crystal Palace prepare to face Manchester United at Selhurst Park, the confirmed lineup for both teams (via Twitter) has now come to light.
Crystal Palace starting lineup: Guaita, Clyne, Guehi, Richards, Mitchell, Doucoure, Hughes, Olise, Zaha, Edouard, Mateta.
Crystal Palace substitutes: Johnstone, Ozoh, Tomkins, Schlupp, Ayew, Milivojevic, Eze, Ward, Riedewald.
Manchester United starting lineup: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes, Antony Weghorst, Rashford.
Manchester United substitutes: Heaton, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia, McTominay, Garnacho, Pellistri, Elanga, Garnacho.
Patrick Vieira has chosen a 4-4-2 setup for his Crystal Palace confirmed lineup against Manchester United, while making 4 key changes to the side that was fielded against Chelsea.
In goal, Vicente Guaita keeps his place in the side, from Palace’s 1-0 defeat against the Blues.
At right-back, the same can be said as Nathaniel Clyne starts ahead of Joel Ward once again.
It is at centre-back where Chris Richards replaces the injured Joachim Anderson in the Crystal Palace confirmed lineup against Manchester United.
Alongside Richards, the young Marc Guehi retains his place.
The same can be said for Tyrick Mitchell, who starts after his underwhelming display against Graham Potter’s side.
Cheick Doucoure also starts, with Jeffrey Schlupp being replaced by Will Hughes.
Michael Olise and Wilfried Zaha, who was tipped to join Barcelona by Kevin Hatchard also start in the confirmed lineup for Crystal Palace against Manchester United, with Eberechi Eze being replaced by Odsonne Edouard playing.
The second change in the side comes in the form of Jordan Aye being displaced by Jean Philippe-Mateta.
As for Manchester United, Erik ten Hag has gone with a classic 4-2-3-1 system as well, making as many as 3 changes after his side beat Manchester City 2-1 on Saturday.
In between the sticks, it is no surprise to see David De Gea start.
At right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka retains his place deservedly after an impressive showing against City.
In central defence, Rafael Varane is partnered by Lisandro Martinez, who replaces Luke Shaw.
However, Shaw does keep his place in the XI.
Fred is replaced for this contest, with the midfield duo of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen playing in tandem once again.
In the No.10 role starts last weekend’s main man in Bruno Fernandes, moving away from his right-sided midfield role.
Marcus Rashford keeps his place, while Antony actually replaces Fred in the confirmed Manchester United lineup against Crystal Palace.
