Crystal Palace have struggled for much of the Premier League campaign.
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has told talkSPORT that Alan Pardew’s job at Selhurst Park is completely safe despite their disappointing form this season.
The Eagles have struggled for much of the season and had been on a run of six consecutive defeats going into their clash with Southampton last weekend.

And while Palace improved dramatically to claim a 3-0 win over the Saints, some of the club’s supporters would be forgiven for worrying about their prospects while Pardew is in charge, given that they remain just three points above the bottom three.
Nevertheless, Parish has quashed any talk of a change in the dugout.
“It is totally safe in that every manager is under pressure,” he told talkSPORT.

“You need to win football matches. It is a very binary industry and we are all under pressure. You can’t lift that pressure from people – that is no more constructive than putting it on them.
“We don’t have to have that conversation because Alan knows the game, he knows where he is and he knows the things he has to do. The most important thing is we want him to succeed, we try and help him to succeed, and all the things around the club are geared to making him succeed.”

Despite Parish suggesting that Pardew is under no additional pressure, the Daily Mail has suggested that some of the club’s hierarchy may now be slightly less keen on the former West Ham boss.
When asked about the pressure on his shoulders in the wake of the weekend victory, Pardew suggested that some of the club’s investors did not have a great deal of knowledge about football (via Mail).
The Mail adds that those comments did not go down well with some of those investors. So while Pardew appears to remain in Parish’s good books, he may need some more good results to get everyone back on side.
