Crystal Palace and Burnley now want to sign Ademola Lookman – a player who was strangely sold by Everton in 2019.
Both the Eagles and the Clarets are expressing an interest in a deal for the Atalanta No.11 as he takes Italian football by storm this season.
In truth, it is no surprise to see Crystal Palace and Burnley signal a desire to bring Lookman back to the Premier League, as he has been simply outstanding in Serie A.
Crystal Palace & Burnley want Everton outcast Lookman
Well, it was 90min who made the claim.
Lookman has blossomed into a hugely effective forward this season, scoring 15 goals while also providing five assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

It is the best goalscoring campaign of the Nigeria international’s career by far, surpassing the eight goals he scored on loan at Leicester last term.
Interest in Lookman comes after Everton sold him to RB Leipzig in 2019 for a sum of £23m.
Given the amount of poor signings Everton have made in recent times, it does seem odd that they allowed a seriously bright talent to leave Goodison Park, even though the money on offer was good.
Crystal Palace have tried to sign Lookman before
While most transfer rumours need to be taken with a pinch of salt, we do believe Crystal Palace are genuinely interested in Lookman – they have history.
As detailed by the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace made a £4m bid to sign Lookman from south London rivals Charlton back in 2016 which also saw Sulley Kaikai included.
Eventually, the Eagles were beaten to his signature by Everton in January 2017 as the Toffees offered slightly more with a £7.5m bid.
Lookman is thriving in Italy, although a return to south London may tempt the Wandsworth-born attacker.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen this summer.
