The Eagles are coming off the back of a tremendous 2-1 victory over champions elect Chelsea.

Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce has put the club’s hugely impressive 2-1 victory away at Chelsea out of his mind ahead of their midweek clash with Southampton, and is eyeing up a share of the spoils, as reported by Reuters.
The Eagles surprised everyone when goals from Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke condemned Antonio Conte’s side to just their second home defeat of the season at the weekend, and moved four points clear of the relegation zone in doing so.
However, Allardyce is keen to put that victory to the back of his players’ minds, with the Eagles far from safety yet with nine games still to play, and relegation rivals Burnley and Leicester City could move further away from Palace before they take to the field on Wednesday, with their fixtures coming on Tuesday evening.
Ahead of the match at St. Mary’s Stadium, a ground where Palace have lost their last five league meetings, Allardyce stressed the need for his players to be completely on the ball, and revealed that there were no immediate celebrations after the Chelsea win as there’s a long way to go yet.

“You’d hope we could target a point (at Southampton), given the form we’re in,” Allardyce said, as reported by Reuters. “We have to be 100 percent. Every player was at their top level on Saturday.
“We’ve got a game midweek so I told the boys to enjoy the victory at home. No real time to celebrate. There’s still a way to go, never an easy game at our level. We’ve still got City, United, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Leicester.”

Palace have been in excellent form recently and have won their last four Premier League matches on the spin, taking them out of the relegation zone.
They have been dealt a huge blow however, as influential defender Scott Dann would miss the remainder of the season with a knee ligament injury.
