Crystal Palace want Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Manchester United are allegedly willing to let the right back return to Selhurst Park in January.

Palace youth products making emotional returns to Selhurst Park appears to be a theme.

Wilfried Zaha did exactly that after leaving Palace for Manchester United in 2013.

Right back Nathaniel Clyne also rejoined the club after spells at Liverpool and Southampton, with Wan-Bissaka potentially in line to follow in their footsteps.

Crystal Palace want Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The Sun now claim that Palace want to bring Wan-Bissaka back to the club from Manchester United.

It’s stated that United will allow Wan-Bissaka to return to South London on loan if the clubs can agree to terms.

Palace can’t afford a permanent deal for Wan-Bissaka so will have to try and thrash out a loan move.

United paid a staggering £45million for Wan-Bissaka in 2019 but he has fallen well out of favour under Erik ten Hag.

Wan-Bissaka has played just four minutes of first-team action for United this season, and that came as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Liverpool in August.

Ten Hag hasn’t even been giving Wan-Bissaka chances in the Europa League this season and it’s clear that the 24-year-old needs to leave in January.

That’s quite the fall for the defender who was hailed as a ‘massive talent’ by Gary Neville back in 2019.

Palace will feel confident of luring Wan-Bissaka back to the club but they could face a challenge from London rivals West Ham United.

Late in the summer window, The Athletic reported that United rejected offers from Palace and West Ham for Wan-Bissaka.

If Wan-Bissaka becomes available in January, you can only imagine that West Ham and David Moyes will be right back in the mix again.

A return to Palace would be heart-warming for Eagles fans but West Ham are a team to watch in this transfer race.
