In his first unofficial game for Villa, the 24-year-old made a big impression by feeding Ollie Watkins with two sublime through balls.
Both Buendia and Watkins were on the field for only 45 minutes in Villa’s first run out ahead of the new season, but boy did they look good.
Norwich supporters waxed-lyrical about Buendia already making his mark in Claret and Blue colours, as they dwell over losing one of their prized assets this summer.
Whilst those at Carrow Road are disappointed at losing Buendia’s talents, they are wishing him nothing but the best at Villa.
It’s only pre-season, and only the real thing in a few weeks time matters, but the signs are positive for the Villa faithful.
