Leeds United fans hit back at Isaac Hayden’s Twitter message where he questioned ‘what the rules’ are in today’s game and also claimed that you ‘can’t tackle anymore’.
The Newcastle midfielder, whose side suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Leeds on Wednesday night, was clearly unhappy with the officiating on the night.
Hayden was booked for a foul on Mateusz Klich in the second half and the defensive-midfielder clearly didn’t agree with that decision.
Added with that, another particular moment in the game has also drawn controversy because Callum Wilson was claiming for a penalty at 1-1, but nothing was given, as Leeds went onto to blitz their opponents.
Leeds fans on Twitter made it clear that they outplayed Newcastle and the stats and scoreline show it, so their opponents shouldn’t moan about refereeing decisions, nor should the gloss be taken away from their performance.
Once again, Marcelo Bielsa’s men managed to produce over 20 efforts on goal, as those in Black and White had no answer to their relentless attacking and counter-attacking.

If yesterday’s clash was a close run affair then it seems the Leeds fans would have been more sympathetic.
But given that it wasn’t, it seems as though they are not buying into Hayden’s complaints, as the £22k-a-week [Spotrac] player will be even more frustrated with how his team was being opened up.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to Hayden’s Twitter message:
