Uruguayan midfielder Giorgian de Arrascaeta is reportedly interesting Newcastle and Celtic.

Cruzeiro president Wagner Pires has told Brazilian outlet Super Esportes that reported Newcastle United and Celtic target Giorgian de Arrascaeta wants to stay, but refused to rule out a sale.
De Arrascaeta made two appearances for Uruguay at the World Cup, starting his country’s first game which resulted in a 1-0 win over Egypt before coming off the bench in the 3-0 win over Russia.
If either club were to match Cruzeiro’s reported valuation of de Arrascaeta, it would see them break their transfer records and Barcos said his club will be willing to do business if a bid is acceptable for all parties.
“We go on a back and forth wave,” Barcos said. “That is, if there is a great opportunity that interests Arrascaeta and that is good for Cruzeiro, we would attend. We can not go against the will of man.
“But, under present circumstances, he wants to continue on Cruzeiro. Of course there is a lot of speculation as to this, as he is a great player and any club wants to have him on his team. But so far there is nothing, just speculation.”

De Arrascaeta is renowned for his intricate ability on the ball and vision, an unwavering eye for goal but also the ability to dictate the tempo of a match. He is certainly the type of player to dictate an attack.
Newcastle currently have Ayoze Perez in the number 10 role who was somewhat hot and cold last season, while Celtic have just sold Stuart Armstrong to Southampton and cancelled Charly Musonda’s 18-month loan from Chelsea.
