Christian Eriksen was initially adjudged to have scored Tottenham’s second goal in their 2-1 victory over Stoke away from home at the bet365 Stadium in the Premier League last weekend.
Kane appealed against the decision, with the England international striker claiming that he got the final touch – and he won the case.
Stoke striker Crouch has revealed that his teammates Butland and Indi thought after the game that it was Eriksen’s goal, not Kane’s.
Goalkeeper Butland, 25, has been on the books of Stoke since January 2013 when he joined from Birmingham City for a transfer fee reported by The Telegraph to be worth £4 million.
Defender Indi, 26, joined Stoke from FC Porto on a permanent contract in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £7m after spending the 2016-17 season on loan at the Potters.
Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “From where I was sitting, it looked like Christian Eriksen’s goal.
“Back in the dressing room after the game, our goalkeeper Jack Butland and central defender Bruno Martins Indi were of the same opinion.
“They could not have been closer to the action and they both said the same thing: it never touched him.”
Challenging Mohamed Salah
Kane is challenging Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah to become the top scorer in the Premier League this season.
While Salah has scored 29 goals in the Premier League, Kane has found the net 25 times in the league.
