Reported Tottenham and West Ham United target Dusan Vlahovic is a “cross between Christian Vieri and Adriano”, Italian football expert Bruno Longhi has told Radio Sportiva.
Blessed with power, pace and ruthless finishing skills, the Fiorentina forward is certainly worthy of comparisons with two former Serie A superstars.
Vlahovic took his tally to 12 for the season with a 34-minute hat-trick in last weekend’s 4-1 thrashing of Benevento, following a pair of ruthless, close-range finishes with a sublime 25-yard shot into the top corner.
Blending the simple with the spectacular, the 21-year-old Serb appears to have the same attributes Vieri and Adriano displayed during their time in the blue and black of Inter Milan.
“Potentially, he is a top player. He impressed me right from the start. He is one of those players who immediately caught my eye,” Longhi says.
“He is a cross between Vieri and Adriano. He must try to have consistency but let’s give him some time. Fiorentina, above all, must try to tie him down in order to avoid losing a player who explodes elsewhere.”

Convincing Vlahovic to sign a new contract may be easier said than done.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the latest striker to be linked with David Moyes’ West Ham has resisted Fiorentina’s attempts to rubber stamp a new, long-term deal (Calciomercato).
La Repubblica reports Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham are also interested, with Spurs eyeing a potential Carlos Vinicius replacement.
