Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has pleaded with the Los Blancos hierarchy to retain faith in Karim Benzema, and avoid a move for another striker in the summer.
Incredibly, Ronaldo was on for a hat-trick on Saturday, when Madrid were awarded a penalty in the latter stages of their 4-0 win over Alaves.

The Portugal international gave the ball to Benzema, however, in the hope that the Frenchman would gain some much-needed confidence ahead of their important run-in.
The Frenchman duly obliged, slotting the ball home with aplomb, and Ronaldo passing up on the chance fo his 50th career hat-trick was a sign of his respect for the former Lyon ace.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner holds great sway at the Santiago Bernabeu, and if Don Balon’s report has some truth behind it, it could turn out to be a huge boost for Tottenham in their hopes of keeping hold of Harry Kane this summer.
A lot can happen in football, of course, but if Spurs can challenge for major honours this season, and with their move to their new stadium on the horizon, there is no reason why Kane will not stay in north London…for one more season at least.
And Ronaldo’s reported demand to his club will only help Tottenham’s cause.
