Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has tied Lionel Messi for Ballon d’Or awards with five.

Real Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible achievements in 2017 have led to him winning the 2017 Ballon d’Or.
Ronaldo was crowned at a prestigious ceremony in London on Monday night, winning football’s top individual award for the fifth time in his career.
He has now tied rival Lionel Messi on five, and the pair are not done yet.
Ronaldo sent a message out on Twitter last night after clinching the honour.
Last year Ronaldo led Portugal to win 2016, and he followed this up by winning a second Champions League trophy in a row for Real Madrid.
He also helped Real to win the La Liga title, and has scored at a prolific rate.

Ronaldo netted 42 goals in 46 games at club level last season and has seven in 10 games this campaign.
He returns to London next week to play at Wembley in the Champions League when Spurs take on Real Madrid.
