Speaking on TalkTV (8:53PM 17/11/22), during his interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo has been speaking about Arsenal potentially winning the Premier League.
Ronaldo, of course, was being interviewed by a journalist who has made his Arsenal affiliations well-known, and, inevitably, the conversation turned to the Gunners quite quickly.
With Arsenal sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, Morgan wanted to get Ronaldo’s perspective on whether or not the north London club will win the title.
As you can imagine, as an active player Ronaldo wasn’t willing to give a prediction, but he did say that he would be happy if the Gunners came out on top this season.

Ronaldo backs Arsenal
The Portuguese star says he hopes Arsenal win the league if Manchester United don’t.
“Are Arsenal going to win the Premier League?” Morgan asked.
“I hope so. Manchester first, but if not, Arsenal. It’s a team I like to see play. I like the team I like the coach I think they are a good team. If Manchester United do not win the Premier League I would be happy if Arsenal did,” Ronaldo said.
Unthinkable
For all of the bombshells that have been dropped during this Ronaldo interview saga, this may be the biggest one.
A Manchester United player saying that he wants Arsenal to win the Premier League title – imagine that happening in the 2000s.
We’d pay good money to see Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira’s reactions upon seeing these comments from Ronaldo. At one point United and Arsenal were the biggest rivals in the sport, but now, the Red Devils’ most high-profile player is saying that he wants Arsenal to win the Premier League.
These comments would have been unthinkable at one point, but Ronaldo has broken down so many barriers this week, so why not break this one down too.
