On Monday Night Football on Sky Sports Premier League tonight, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher went back to the Cristiano Ronaldo versus Lionel Messi debate.
Tonight the debate was who would be a better substitute with 10 minutes to go and the team searching for a win – Manchester United’s Ronaldo or Messi of Paris Saint-Germain.
Former United defender Neville picked Ronaldo and went into a detailed analysis why.
The Sky Sports pundit used stats, and one of the criteria was international titles.
As you can see below, former Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona striker Gary Lineker, now the BBC Match of the Day presenter, has pointed out on Twitter that Sky Sports forgot to mention that Messi won the Copa America with Argentina this summer.
Ronaldo and Messi are two of the greatest footballers on the planet.

What is remarkable is that both are going strong and are still way better than the rest of the footballers even in their 30s.
Ronaldo, who returned to United from Juventus in the summer transfer window, is 36.
Messi, who left Barcelona and join PSG on a free transfer this summer, is 34 now.
The debate over who is better, Ronaldo or Messi, will go on forever.
For now, we should simply enjoy watching the two players.
