Tottenham Hotspur’s assistant Cristian Stellini has told Thursday’s press conference – as per Football London – that Antonio Conte has not spoken to him about their future at Spurs. He says the two are focused on the job in hand.
Conte is out of contract at the end of the season and if he goes, so will Stellini. The duo, along with the rest of the Spurs coaching staff have done an incredible job. Taking Spurs back into the Champions League, currently fifth.
Spurs are in a good position with 17 League games to play, to go on a run and win a place in the top four again. That is especially, with Manchester United and Newcastle stuttering of late. Liverpool and Chelsea have little chance of it.
A place in the top four could determine whether Conte and Stellini remain at Spurs this summer. That too, could have a knock-on effect for Harry Kane. So, there is a real interest in Conte’s future. Stellini was asked if they have discussed it.

“No we never talk about that. We are so focused on the moment and the next game, the next training. We have to do it. The next solution we have to create and build within the team. We have never spoken about this,” Stellini said.
“In football you cannot be relaxed if you have a contract or not. You live this with energy because you want to win. This is our life, this is football, this is sport, you think about the next target, objective you want to achieve,” he continued.
Cristian Stellini and Antonio Conte not speaking about Tottenham future
How do Tottenham play this? It is an interesting one. But there have been times this season where there has been critics regarding Conte. His stubbornness when it comes to tactics. His pragmatism. But his future means so much.
Not only, does it mean that Daniel Levy will continue to open the Spurs cheque book. But it means Kane will stay. It means Spurs will continue to grow north, and establish themselves in the race for a Premier League title, soon.
