Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Cristian Romero will tell Atalanta today to sell him to Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Romero is keen on moving to Tottenham.
The 23-year-old Argentina international central defender will tell the Atalanta board and manager today that moving to Tottenham is an opportunity he cannot miss.
Spurs made an improved offer for the Copa America winner last Friday and are waiting for Italian club Atalanta to accept it, according to Romano.
Could a Tottenham Hotspur transfer happen soon?
There were reports over the weekend that Tottenham’s offer for Atalanta has been accepted, but Romano’s information suggests that it is not the case yet.

In this regard, we have to acknowledge and appreciate that different journalists and different publications have different sources and information.
It will be interesting to see how the Romero transfer saga pans out.
It does seem that the 23-year-old is keen on a move to Spurs.

It is the two clubs who are unable to reach an agreement.
Perhaps in the coming days Tottenham and Atalanta will agree on a transfer deal.
Romero, who won Copa America with Argentina this summer, scored two goals and gave two assists in 31 Serie A appearances for Atalanta last season.
