Cristian Romero has teased Everton star Richarlison on Instagram after Tottenham cruised to a 5-0 win in North London. The Brazil-Argentina rivalry was clearly on Romero’s mind, following the damaging 5-0 win.
Romero, 23, clocked up his 21st appearance for Spurs since joining the club last summer. The Copa America winner lasted 52 minutes before being replaced by Davinson Sanchez – given the Argentine was on a yellow card.
Harry Kane got a brace on Monday night, finishing a one-on-one and then a gorgeous left-footed volley. Son Heung-min got one, as did Sergio Reguilon. Michael Keane scored an own goal, from a Ryan Sessegnon cross.
Back in November, Antonio Conte’s first game in charge, Romero and Richarlison squared up to eachother with the result reading 0-0. That spark was reignited on Monday; Romero booked for his tackle on Richarlison.
Despite being withdrawn on 52 minutes, Romero was quick to tease the £90,000-a-week (Spotrac) star with a post that showed the aftermath of the tackle. Romero posted a picture of Richarlison clutching his leg.

All over the pitch, Tottenham won their duels. Eric Dier was rock-solid against Dom Calvert-Lewin, the wing-backs were on fire – Matt Doherty especially. Rodrigo Bentancur returned from injury to shine in midfield.
The Uruguayan arguably enjoyed his best display, other than the 3-2 win over Manchester City. Son was probably not at his elite best but still scored, Dejan Kulusevski got two assists, and Kane got two goals. A brilliant win.
