Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno has said that Cristian Romero will recover from his injury soon after missing the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, as quoted in Football.London.

Romero has a minor knee injury that he picked up in the Europa Conference League qualifier against Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal on Thursday night.

Spurs head coach Nuno has said that the 23-year-old Argentina international central defender is getting treatment, and he seems confident that the summer signing from Atalanta will recover soon.

Nuno told Football.London when asked if Romero will be back soon: “Yeah, hopefully.

“When he finished the game in Pacos he was ok but yesterday in the training session he didn’t feel totally comfortable, so we decided not to bring him. He’s getting treatment now and I think he’s going to be better soon.”

Positive news

Injury to any player is never positive, especially to one who has just joined the club.

Romero moved to Tottenham from Atalanta in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old is a very good and promising young centre-back who will be keen on making an early impact at Spurs.

Romero will be frustrated that he could not feature for Spurs against Wolves today, but it seems that his injury is not serious.

It will be interesting to see when Romero is back.

Tottenham have won both of their Premier League games this season now, and things are looking very positive for the North London club at the moment.
