Celtic defender Cristian Gamboa moved to the Glasgow club from West Bromwich Albion last summer.
Cristian Gamboa has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he absolutely loves playing for Celtic.
Gamboa was brought to Celtic last summer from West Bromwich Albion, with Brendan Rodgers looking to strengthen his side’s defence.
However, the Costa Rican international has found first-team chances hard to come by at Parkhead.
The form of Mikael Lustig at right-back has kept him out of Celtic’s starting line-up for much of the season so far, but Gamboa insists he cannot complain.
“I just want to work hard,” he said. “It is difficult to complain about anything because the results have been good and the team have playing so well. The manager knows that he has two fit players who can play in my position and that is good for the team.
“There is always a lot of competition to play when you are at a big club like Celtic so I think this is normal. But I am enjoying working hard in training and I feel settled here in Glasgow. I hope there will be more to come because I love playing at Celtic Park, it is quite magnificent.”
Gamboa has represented the Bhoys 15 times since signing with the Glasgow club, and he has generally looked comfortable slotting into their defence.
It has been difficult for Celtic’s bring players this season, as Rodgers has not needed to make changes to a winning formula.
Rather remarkably, Celtic have not been beaten in domestic action ever since Rodgers took charge.
The Bhoys are already 27 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, in what could be a historic season for the Hoops.
