Celtic have dropped two points today.

It might be a tad early to describe it as a title race in Scotland, given that this was only the second game, but it’s imperative that both Old Firm sides enjoyed a fast-and-furious start to the season.

Rangers have, winning six points from a possible six, scoring four and conceding none, but Celtic have blinked and slipped two points behind the Ibrox outfit already.

Neil Lennon’s side were held to a 1-1 draw away at Kilmarnock.

A fizzing free kick from Ryan Christie gave Celtic an ideal start, but Chris Burke equalised from the penalty spot on 24 minutes after a silly foul from Christopher Jullien.

There was a lot of huffing and puffing from the visitors but a lack of creativity from midfield made it difficult for lone striker Odsonne Edouard.

Lennon tried to switch it up with 10 minutes left, bringing on Olivier Ntcham and despite Celtic seemingly improving when the Frenchman arrived, there wasn’t enough time.

And some fans of the Parkhead club have questioned whether the Northern Irishman should’ve stuck Ntcham – a £4.5 million signing in 2017 – in the first XI rather than reduce him to a 10-minute cameo.
