Celtic have high hopes for midfielder Scott Robertson, and they will be delighted to know he is thriving on loan at Crewe Alexandra.
Robertson has come up through the Celtic ranks having joined the club at the age of just eight.
The midfielder only has one appearance for Celtic to his name. That came against CFR Cluj in the Europa League back in 2019, but he hasn’t quite kicked on.
Robertson in third loan spell away from Celtic
Celtic loaned Robertson out in September 2020, sending him to English League One side Gillingham, where he played 19 times.
In January of this year, Celtic moved him to Doncaster Rovers. Again, Robertson played regularly.
Before the transfer deadline last month, Robertson headed back to England to sign for Crewe Alexandra – and what an impact he’s making.
After an EFL Trophy appearance against Shrewsbury Town, Robertson started against the same opponents last weekend.
Robertson impressed in the middle of the park, helping Crewe to a 1-1 draw whilst picking up a booking.

Crewe fans rave about Robertson
Crewe fans have been taking to Twitter to hail Robertson, calling him ‘the best player on the pitch’.
Some called Robertson ‘absolutely class’, and one comparison will intrigue Celtic fans.
Robertson was branded ‘like a young Neil Lennon’ – the man who left his post as Celtic boss earlier this year.
Lennon racked up almost 150 league appearances for Crewe. Four years after leaving Crewe for Leicester City, Lennon found himself at Celtic.
More than 200 appearances followed, and maybe Robertson can follow in the footsteps of the Northern Irishman – ironically the man who gave Robertson his Celtic debut.
