Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is blown away by what Erling Haaland is doing this season.
Haaland joined Manchester City for a bargain £51 million [Sky Sports] this past summer and it’s fair to say that the Norway international could win everything this season, as an individual and as a collective under Pep Guardiola.
The 22-year-old has somehow already hit the 20-goal mark for the Citizens and it’s only October.
His father revealed earlier this month, as covered by HITC Sport, that Liverpool were on the shortlist of potential destinations, before electing to go to the Etihad Stadium – a revelation which indicates that the Reds were definitely in for him.

And Klopp has conceded that it’s just ‘crazy’ what the towering hitman is achieving in England.
He told Liverpool’s official website: “Nobody in the world can cope with the Haaland situation in the moment, it’s crazy what he’s doing. How he shook his head when he scored now the second one in the Champions League, ‘Obviously I can do what I want, the ball bounced in front of my feet.’ But he’s an exceptional player in an exceptional team, so that obviously works pretty well together.”
With eight Premier League goals, Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur is having an excellent campaign thus far.
And just to put Haaland into context, he has a staggering 15.
There is simply no stopping the former Borussia Dortmund marksman and Liverpool – and every other club – will be devastated that they were unable to lure him to Anfield.
Because at the moment, it’s no comparison between him and Darwin Nunez.
When the Reds splurged £85 million on the Uruguay international, this season was billed as Haaland v Nunez, but the latter only has one Premier League goal to his name thus far.
Nunez will definitely improve, but he probably won’t get to the level that the big man is effortlessly reaching.
