Newcastle United supporters have provided a mixed reaction to rumours that they want to sign Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock before today’s deadline.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Newcastle are interested in bringing the Arsenal academy product up to the North East on a loan deal.
It is said that the 21-year-old is on the top of Steve Bruce’s wishlist, as only hours remain before the winter window slams shut.
There are sections of the Newcastle support who are keen on the energetic midfielder joining them.
With the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka thriving, it isn’t a surprise that a section of the Newcastle support would trust any player coming out of the North London academy.
And, as a result, some feel Willock would be an upgrade on the players Bruce already has on their disposal.
But there are other Newcastle supporters who aren’t interested in bringing Willock to St James’ Park because they don’t feel he will improve them.
Either way, an interesting few hours await Willock, Arsenal and Newcastle because they are set to be busy during these final few hours.
