Liverpool fans have questioned how much Andrew Robertson is now worth with Ben Chilwell seemingly closing on a world-record move to Stamford Bridge.

The Times have reported that Leicester City and Chelsea have reached a breakthrough in their talks regarding Chilwell’s signature, who has been valued at close to £80 million and could now move for a world-record fee for a left-back.

In 2017, Liverpool paid Hull City £8 million for Roberton’s services [BBC Sport] and he has since gone on to win the European Cup and the Premier League title with the Merseyside club.

Added with that, Jurgen Klopp has added yet another left-back to his ranks this summer, with Kostas Tsimikas signing for £12 million from Greek giants Olympiakos [BBC Sport].

Liverpool fans on Twitter believe that someone like Robertson would now be worth well beyond £100 million if Chilwell does make a switch to Stamford Bridge for the prices mentioned.

Whilst Chilwell is growing as a player, he quite clearly isn’t on the level of the Scotsman, who is perhaps the best left-sided fullback in the world.

Either way, it is perhaps proof of another English player moving for an inflated price as Frank Lampard looks to build a Premier League title-winning squad.

Many will back Liverpool and Manchester City to do bits again next season, but if there is anyone else who will challenge them then it will more than likely come from either Chelsea or Manchester United.
