Michail Antonio has stated that the rivalry between West Ham United and Millwall is ‘crazy’ and it’s a game he wants to play in before he retires, as he told the Footballer’s Football Podcast.
The West Ham forward has played in many derby matches, from the Steel City between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday to Nottingham Forest and Derby County.
Given that those teams have competed in the Championship or League One for many years, their fans have been able to see those games on a regular basis.
But, with West Ham being a Premier League side and their bitter London rivals in England’s second-tier, their derby game is the one fans crave the most.
Turn on the movie Green Street and you’ll get your entertainment’s worth, but Antonio wants to experience it all for real.
“Do you know what would be nuts?” said Antonio. “West Ham and Millwall. I have had Nobs (Noble) tell me stories about it. The rivalry between them is crazy. The police you would need everywhere. It would be nuts.
“Everyone knows the Millwall fans to be crazy, anyway. That derby day would be unbelievable. That’s something, before I retire, I want to play in that.
“What I have heard about West Ham-Millwall. What I have seen of West Ham-Millwall. That would be crazy.”

Millwall are three points outside of the play-off places with two games remaining of the regular season.
There is a chance that Gary Rowett can sneak his team into those nerve-racking play-off places before the final ball is kicked.
If that’s the case, then they would have a serious chance of making a long-awaited return to the Premier League and meeting their neighbours.
But, other than that, both West Ham and Millwall can only dream of the luck of the draw pitting their hate together next season and beyond.
