Jose Enrique has claimed that Thomas Tuchel’s post-match interview after Chelsea’s pre-season thrashing against Arsenal was ‘crazy’, as the former Liverpool defender posted on Twitter.
The Chelsea boss mentioned a variety of things, from players not wanting to be at the club to the likes of Liverpool now being ‘far ahead of us’.
Chelsea finished third last season and they could be seen as the team that can close the gap on the Premier League’s dominant top-two – Manchester City and Liverpool.

But the summer transfer window seemingly isn’t going as planned, Tuchel isn’t a happy man, they got four put past them by Arsenal in pre-season and the new Premier League campaign is only weeks away.
Nonetheless, when reacting to Tuchel’s post-match comments, where he also mentioned how far behind his team are to the Reds, this is what Liverpool-mad pundit, Enrique posted.
“Crazy post-match interview from Tuchel,” said Enrique. “Never seen him like this before.”
CAN CHELSEA CLOSE THE GAP ON THE TOP TWO?
Whilst Chelsea would ideally want to look forward in order to close that gap on the Premier League’s top two, the signings of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly certainly help, it might be a case of look over your shoulder.
The two teams that finished below them last season – Tottenham and Arsenal – have well and truly gone for it this summer and both managers have been backed in the transfer market.
With Antonio Conte in the dugout, Spurs will feel this is the best chance for them to create one of their best seasons in a very long time.
Whilst Arsenal will want to overcome the hurt and frustration from last season that saw them miss out on a Champions League spot.
The signings of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko – two proven winners and performers – increases their chances of securing a top-four finish and should make Chelsea look over their shoulder.
