Ian Wright has claimed that it would be ‘crazy’ from Tottenham if they don’t buy Dejan Kulusevski outright.

Tottenham’s Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici, has seemingly worked his magic with the 21-year-old Juventus star.

Given Paratici’s links with the Italian club, he has helped lure Kulusevski to north London and now the young gun is working his magic in Tottenham colours.

Kulusevski is currently on an 18-month loan (from January 2022 to January 2023), with the obligation to buy the player for £29.2 million (Sky Sports) if certain sporting criteria are met.

One thing is for sure, Wright is a big fan of the left-footed flyer and added that he is a player with ‘so much ability’, as he told Premier League Productions (16/04/22 at 12:15 pm).

“He just finds himself in space,” said Wright. “So when he gets into space, he is very calm.

“Everytime you see him, he’s going to be in space. That’s what the quality players do. When he has time and space, he’s going to hurt you because he has so much ability.

“It will be crazy if they don’t. You see what he’s doing. Who wouldn’t take him? Doing what he’s doing now at the level he’s doing it at. They will definitely take it.

“That’s probably a deal I wouldn’t be surprised if they have already done it.

From his 12 Premier League matches, Kulusevski has six assists and three goals to his name, he only managed three assists and one goal from his 20 Serie A matches this season.

Those in Italy will be wondering where all of this quality from Kulusevski was back in Turin because it’s all coming out on English soil now.

At this moment in time, his possible permanent signing, and the fee being touted, is looking like a top-quality buy from Paratici.

And perhaps it should be a message to Daniel Levy that if he pushes the boat out a little bit more in the summer, then more Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur-like signings will arrive at the club.
