Ravel Morrison told Rio Ferdinand’s official YouTube channel that the most enjoyable time of his career came at West Ham, as he dubbed their supporters as ‘crazy’.

Whenever the eccentric playmaker is mentioned in the same sentence as West Ham, it then jogs the memories back to his quite brilliant solo goal at White Hart Lane in 2013.

Whilst Morrison only made 24 appearances for those in Claret and Blue, it was still enough to show supporters the talents he has in boots.

Well, speaking to Rio Ferdinand, Stephen Howson and Joel Beya, the Old Trafford academy product shared his thoughts on the Hammers and their supporters.

“The whole of West Ham, I enjoyed West Ham the most,” said Morrison. “At West Ham, good changing room. It was enjoyable.

“I think the team itself and the place. I went on-loan the first year but when I came back. I started playing. Also, Sam (Allardyce) gave me confidence. He trusted in me and that was the main thing.

“And the fans. I liked the fans there. Crazy, man. You know that, Rio (Ferdinand). Wicked fans.”

It’s a case of ‘what could have been?’ for Morrison at West Ham because there’s no doubt he would have thrived in their colours had he stayed on.

Instead, those at the London Stadium now have another maverick to watch in Said Benrahma.

The former Brentford trickster was in action last night as West Ham recorded a comfortable win against Sheffield United last night.
