Speaking on the UMM YouTube channel, Ezri Konsa has been speaking about what it’s like to try and defend against Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne is undoubtedly one of the best footballers in the world right now, and Konsa believes that it’s genuinely impossible to stop the Belgian when he’s in full-flow.
“Impossible man, impossible, you know when you’re playing against these players, obviously you don’t like losing, but sometimes you just have to sit back and say look, the players they’ve got. Kevin De Bruyne some of the passes he makes are crazy. It’s everything, for me it was a case of knowing what he’s going to do and knowing where he’s going to pass it, but I just couldn’t get there,” Konsa said.
To be fair, we wouldn’t like to be coming up against De Bruyne at the moment.
It must be so frustrating to play against a player who does everything so perfectly. He never seems to mis-place a pass, he never seems to mis-time a run and he never seems to be dispossessed.
De Bruyne must be a real pain to play against, and we certainly don’t envy any Premier League defender tasked with stopping him.
