Recently, Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
According to reports from Sky Sports, Manchester United were considering making a move for the Danish keeper as a replacement for David De Gea who is attracting interest from Real Madrid.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper played a major role in helping Leicester win their maiden Premier League title last season. This season, the entire Leicester team has failed to maintain last season’s standard, but Schmeichel has been fairly consistent with his performances.

Ahead of Leicester City’s weekend Premier League clash, Shakespeare was asked in the pre-match press conference whether Schmeichel could leave the club. He said that the Dane stopper is happy at the club and that they have not received any offers for him yet.
Shakespeare added that he has no problem with players wanting to progress, but he expects Schmeichel to stay put.
“I do [expect him to be here next season]. He’s in the form of his life. He’s entitled to change his agent,” said Shakespeare, as quoted by BBC Sport.
“He has been very professional. I don’t feel the need [to talk to him].
“I have no problem with players wanting to progress. Ultimately I think Kasper’s happy here. We have had no offers.”
The Foxes are currently 11th in the Premier League, and are aiming to finish within the top 10 this season. They have won their last four home matches in the Premier League, and would be looking to make it five in a row when they face Watford on Saturday.
