Some Rangers fans were impressed with the performance of Craig Halkett against Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side this past weekend, as reported on HITC Sport.
Halkett played well in defence for Livingston in their 1-0 victory over Ibrox club Rangers at home in the Scottish Premiership this past Sunday.
The former Scotland Under-19 international was superb against Rangers, and there is no surprise that some fans of the Glasgow giants were impressed with the defender’s performance, as reported on HITC Sport.
Interestingly, Halkett is a former Rangers player and was on the books of the Gers from 2007 until January 2016 when the Glasgow giants released him.
The 23-year-old, who failed to break into the Rangers first team during his time at Ibrox and had loan spells at Clyde and Berwick Rangers, has admitted that it was not easy to leave the Gers.
The Livingston star has also suggested that it was then Rangers manager Mark Warburton who took the decision to let him leave.

Halkett told The Scottish Sun: “I was in the same team as Liam Kelly — who’s also at Livingston — and the likes of Luca Gasparotto, Charlie Telfer, Andy Murdoch and Darren Ramsay.
“Billy Kirkwood and Alan Kernaghan were the coaches, along with Craig, and it was great to train in those facilities.
“But Craig brought me in back in January 2016 and told me the manager at the time had decided there wasn’t a pathway for me to the first-team.
“I wasn’t the only one but I quickly agreed with Craig that it would be best if I got out there and then in order to play first-team football.”
The 23-year-old added: “It wasn’t nice to leave Rangers. You wonder if your future is going to be outside football.”
