Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has told The Daily Record that he does not have any regret over his failed move to Chelsea in the January transfer window.

According to The Daily Record, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte made as many as three bids in January in order to sign Gordon from Celtic.

The 34-year-old, though, did not make the switch to the Blues, who went on to win the Premier League title this season.

The Scotland international goalkeeper has said that he does not have any regret over his failed move to London outfit Chelsea.

“No, not really,” Gordon told The Daily Record when asked if any part of him regretted not joining Chelsea in January.

“That was what happened and you move on and play. They picked up the trophy, the chances are I might not have played many games. I walked out at Celtic Park to the show for the Lisbon Lions and the whole day was phenomenal.

“There would have been positives no matter what so I’m quite happy whatever had happened. But that was a good day and hopefully we can have some more.”

Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are guaranteed to play in the Champions League next season. However, Celtic are having a great season and are on the verge of competing the domestic treble.

Gordon is playing regularly for the Glasgow giants and is guaranteed a place in the Celtic starting lineup. If the former Sunderland goalkeeper had moved to Chelsea in the January transfer window, then he would have been nothing more than a squad player.
