Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon praises Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, who was linked with Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has spoken highly of Hibernian midfielder John McGinn to The Herald.
McGinn is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in the current Hibernian team.
The 22-year-old midfielder scored twice for Hibs in their 2-2 draw with Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.
The former St. Mirren youngster is part of the Scotland national team and could start against Slovakia at Hampden Park in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
Scott Brown would normally have started for Scotland, but the Celtic midfielder is injured at the moment and is not part of the team.

Celtic goalkeeper Gordon has spoken highly of McGinn and told The Herald: “John was good against us.
“He’s not too dissimilar to Scott although he plays a wee bit further forward and carries a bit more of a goal threat than Broony. In terms of breaking up play and getting the team moving in the right direction they are alike.”

McGinn was linked with a move away from Hibernian in the summer transfer window.
Hibs manager Neil Lennon told The Scotsman last month that Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England wanted to sign the midfielder, and also suggested that the youngster wanted to join the Reds.
Lennon recently told The Scottish Sun that McGinn is now worth more than £5 million.
