Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers won against Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox on Saturday.
Connor Goldson of Rangers and Celtic’s Callum McGregor
McGregor is a central midfielder by trade, but the 25-year-old Scotland international was deployed at left-back at Rangers in the absence of Kieran Tierney in the Scottish Premiership game on Saturday.
Gordon believes that his Celtic and Scotland international teammate played well for the Hoops.
The 35-year-old told The Glasgow Evening Times about McGregor: “Whatever player plays, they all know their roles. Callum did a good job at left back and we knew what we were trying to do.”

Bouncing back
Rangers were the better team in the Old Firm derby and deservedly picked up all three points against Celtic.
The win will have certainly enhanced the confidence of the Rangers team, who will now be on a high and feel like they are on top of the world.
Celtic, though, do have what it takes to bounce back, and one should not forget that they are still at the top of the league table.
McGregor has made 20 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic so far this season, scoring one goal and providing seven assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
