Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has defended his performance against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening, as quoted by The Glasgow Evening Times.

Gordon featured for Celtic in the Champions League game against PSG away from home in Paris.

The Scotland international goalkeeper did not have a good game, as he conceded as many as seven goals.

The 34-year-old former Heart of Midlothian and Sunderland custodian has defended his performance in the 7-1 defeat to Unai Emery’s team.

“I don’t think there was a great deal I could have done about the goals,” Gordon told The Glasgow Evening Times.

“Everything they seemed to hit was going in at the posts. Every single one was of tremendous quality.

“You could go through them all. I had a few decent saves in the game, I would have liked to have had more, but the quality of the finishing was so good wasn’t able to do that.”

Celtic are a good team and the Glasgow giants actually took the lead against PSG in Paris, but the home team were just too good for the Hoops.

PSG have one of the strongest teams in Europe and are one of the favourites for the Champions League, and the Bhoys were always in for a hard time in Paris.

Brendan Rodgers’s side, though, are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and should win the league title with ease.
