Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon seems happy at the moment.
Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has been quoted as saying by The Glasgow Evening Times that he has adapted well to Brendan Rodgers’s style of football.
Gordon has re-established himself in the Celtic starting lineup and has been playing quite well recently.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has stated that he has adapted to Rodgers’s philosophy of playing from the back.
The Scotland international has also suggested that he is now more comfortable with the ball at his feet.
“I have adapted quite well,” The Glasgow Evening Times quotes Gordon as saying. “We have managed to get out well.
“We have a few options for me to look for and it is a really enjoyable way for me to set up for the game.
“It keeps me thinking about what is in front of me and I am outing the ball into the areas that the players need.”
Gordon is a very good goalkeeper, and the former Sunderland man deserves to be Celtic’s first choice between the posts for the time being.
The Bhoys are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are firm favourites to win the league title this season.
The Hoops are currently at the top of the league table with 31 points from 11 matches. The Glasgow giants are 10 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen and have a game in hand.
Celtic will take on Kilmarnock away from home at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
