The Celtic goalkeeper has had to adapt his game this season.
Craig Gordon has been commenting on his adaptation to play in Brendan Rodgers Celtic side.
The Scotland international initially found himself replaced at Celtic as Rodgers signed his former Swansea goalkeeper Dorus de Vries – who he felt would be better with the ball at his feet.
But the Dutchman struggled in his new surroundings and Gordon quickly found himself reinstated.

He has proven himself quite adept in the sweeper-keeper role in the meanwhile – and admitted this week a Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper is serving as his inspiration.
He is quoted by the Daily Mail as having this to say about Spurs goalie Hugo Lloris:
“That is a term that gets used but I was reading an article about Claudio Bravo at Manchester City a couple of weeks back and it described him more as a playmaker than a sweeper.

“Unlike Neuer, he doesn’t necessarily come out very far from his goal. He stays further back and dictates play from there.
“So there are different ways to do it within that role. I watched Hugo Lloris doing it very well for Spurs the other night. You don’t necessarily have to come out too far — it’s about making decisions and getting them right as often as possible.
“Starting play and getting players into the right areas.”
Lloris is certainly one of the better goalkeepers when it comes to rushing off his line and distribution so Tottenham fans will be pleased to hear him getting the recognition he deserves from a peer.

Celtic fans however will be pleased that Gordon is thriving under the new manager. His form took a dip last season and his resilience this term is a credit to the Celtic goalie.
It looks like trophies are on their way for Celtic this term and Gordon is likely to play a key role.
