The Celtic goalkeeper has found his place under threat from Dorus de Vries this season.

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has admitted to the club’s official website that he is doing his homework to try and force his way back into Brendan Rodgers plans.
The Scotland international has been the undisputed number one at Celtic Park since over the last few years under Ronny Deila.
That place has come under serious threat this season, though, after Dorus de Vries arrived in the summer transfer window.
He has already seen himself dropped for big games against Aberdeen, Rangers, Barcelona and most recently Inverness.

The Dutchman failed to impress in those games, conceding 11 goals in total including seven in the humiliation at the Nou Camp.
It means the goalkeeper spot is still very much up for grabs and Gordon admits he has been going the extra mile to try and ensure it is his.
“I have been training very hard over the last few weeks to try to make sure I’m in the manager’s plans,” he told the club’s official website.
“I have just gone away and tried to work and also do my homework on what he likes his goalkeepers to do.”
“I’m trying to improve my game so when I go back in the team that I can maybe adapt more to what he’s looking for.”

The upcoming clash with Manchester City in the Champions League is the perfect chance for Gordon to prove his worth.
With Dorus de Vries picking up an injury this weekend, the ‘keeper could find himself back in the team for the game at Celtic Park.
It is likely to be a hard evening against Pep Guardiola’s side, who not only lead the Premier League, but are the division’s top scorers so far.
After already losing heavily to Barcelona in the first game, Celtic will be keen to avoid a repeat against City and an impressive display from Gordon could help him seal the goalkeeper spot for himself.
