Craig Burley suggests Malcom to Tottenham Hotspur won’t happen

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Malcom of Bordeaux in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are interested in signing Malcom from Bordeaux in the January transfer window, according to BBC Sport.

Malcom is one of the best young forwards in Europe, and the 20-year-old would be a great long-term signing for Tottenham or Arsenal.

New Bordeaux manager Gus Poyet has said that the Brazilian will not leave the club in the January transfer window, as quoted by BBC Sport.

The former Sunderland boss has suggested that he took the manager job at the French club only after getting assurance that Malcom will not be sold.

Former Chelsea and Celtic midfielder Craig Burley, who now works as a pundit for ESPN, believes that Poyet’s comments suggest that Malcom will not move to Tottenham this month.

The former Scotland international, 46, though, believes that things could change in the coming days.

Burley told ESPN when asked if Malcom to Tottenham is a Hit or Miss: “I am going to put it as a Miss at the moment, but that could be a story that changes because we know managers don’t exactly tell clubs when players are not going.”

Tottenham are not going to win the Premier League title this season, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side can certainly finish in the top four, just as they have done for the past two campaigns.
