Craig Burley has told the Glasgow Evening Times that Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is ‘nailed on’ to leave the Glasgow club in the summer.

Burley believes that Celtic will sell Dembele in the summer, as he is too good to be playing in Scotland.

Dembele has netted 27 goals in 41 matches since joining the Bhoys last summer, and his form has attracted the attentions of a range of clubs across Europe.

Dembele has been linked with Real Madrid, Manchester United and West Ham United in recent times.

But Burley has claimed that Dembele will be joining Chelsea in a mega money transfer in the next few months.

“Scottish football is quite embarrassing at the moment in terms of the standard, but Dembele is head and shoulders above the rest.

“He’s a good player and is young. Chelsea, I’m hearing, are the favourites to sign him,” Burley said.

“Talking to one or two guys I know back in Scotland, they said he is pretty much nailed on to go to Chelsea and possibly for around £40m.”

Burley’s comments seem to contrast with what Dembele’s agent said about the striker recently (Scottish Sun).

Dembele’s agent claimed that the French youth international could stay with the Glasgow club until the end of his contract.

Dembele, himself, has also not hinted that he wants a move away from Celtic yet – with the 20-year-old appearing to be very grounded.
