ESPN pundit Craig Burley has said that Tottenham Hotspur are the best team in the Premier League apart from Manchester City.
Burley’s comments are a slight towards Manchester United, who sit level on points with Tottenham at present.
The pundit was commenting after Tottenham’s exciting 4-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Both United and Spurs are five points behind City and clash at Old Trafford on Saturday,
The Red Devils began the season in terrific form but the injury suffered by Paul Pogba in September is beginning to hurt them.
They have picked up just one point from a possible six since the international break, including a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Huddersfield on Saturday.
By contrast, Tottenham are picking up momentum and are scoring for fun, and can make a real statement against United at the weekend.

United have a chance to quickly make Burley’s statement redundant at the weekend, otherwise they will be hearing a lot more of it from all corners.
