The ESPN pundit is backing a draw between Southampton and their Italian counterparts.
Craig Burley has told ESPN that he feels as if Southampton have enough to earn a draw away to Inter Milan in the Europa League tonight.
Southampton make the trip to San Siro aiming for a second victory in Group K after winning one and drawing one so far.
The Saints ride the crest of a wave into tonight’s clash with the Italian giants after beating Burnley 3-1 on Sunday for what was their third win in four Premier League outings.
Inter, on the other hand, are struggling under Frank De Boer. The Nerazzurri lost both of their Europa League games so far against Hapoel Beer Sheva and Sparta Prague, while they go into tonight’s encounter on the back of two successive defeats in Serie A.
The form guide certainly suggests that Claude Puel’s boys can bring at least a point back to the South Coast with them, and Burley concurs.
He told ESPN: “I’m going to go for a draw here. I’m not a fan of Inter Milan; big changes afoot there. I think Southampton have looked better under Claude Puel. They’ve looked solid and played some good stuff. I think they can get a point at least.”
Southampton do seem to be getting progressively stronger under the French manager and few would doubt the prospect of them beating Inter tonight because of it.
