Newcastle United are favourites to sign the Liverpool man.

Craig Burley has told ESPN that he believes Newcastle United will sign Daniel Sturridge in January.
Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat at Arsenal on Saturday underlined their need for another striker next month after Joselu failed yet again to be the prolific figure that the Magpies need up front.
Between them, Joselu, Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic only have seven Premier League goals this season.

There has been no major talk about Rafael Benitez moving for the Liverpool hitman, who has fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp, but bookmakers Bet Victor have priced Newcastle as 3/1 favourites to make the move.
And Burley believes it’s going to happen.

He told ESPN’s ‘Hit or Miss’ transfer segment: “I read an interesting quote from Didi Hamann recently talking about Daniel Sturridge, talking about he’s only fit 20% of the time so he’s only worth 20% of his value.
“I’m going to put in a hit. I think Liverpool need to get some money for him and get him out.
“It’s whether Newcastle, with potential new owners, want to take some sort of chance on his fitness. He could’ve been worth £40 million or £50 million for Liverpool if he played 40 games, but he doesn’t.”
